1) ABOUT US
We have been in business since 1966. But, more importantly than a "companies" years, is the skill of the craftsmen. Each of our cabinet finishers is a dedicated professional with 16 years or more in the trade. Their experience and our personal quality controls assure your cabinets will be completed to a high standard.
We never have trainees work on the refinishing of your cabinets.
When you assign us to renew your kitchen cabinet surfaces, we do not use sub-contractors and you have no salesmen call. I will personally estimate the price and also help work on your cabinets with our finishers. As a result, you will have very careful attention to the details during the entire finishing process which includes inspections at every step.
A real, hands-on attention-to-details, that you rarely find today.
We wish to emphasize our reliability..... We will be there when we say we will.
We use only first grade stains and products on your cabinets from reliable distributors.
And we engage a combination of procedures, both traditional methods and the latest techniques, to give your cabinets a superior finish.
It is surprising how little finish is applied on many kitchen cabinets. You won't have that with our company. We apply much more fine coats of finish on your cabinets than is the standard practice.
We are not limited in either materials or methods by franchise affiliations; this independence gives us the flexibility to do the best for you through our comprehensive knowledge and experience and
without imposed limitations. Since we are not shackled by franchise fees, royalties, material costs and promotional costs, you will also save.
We are interested in putting our reputation to a great quality finish on your cabinets.
Great quality is in the details.
WE LOVE COMPLIMENTS! Expect compliments on your kitchen cabinets when we refinish them.
Lastly, and this is most important, we stand behind our work by granting you the assurance of the best finish warrantee: A full 10 year Limited Warrantee on the cabinet finish. This extended time-limit is way beyond the norm of industry warrantee policy.
The warrantee is based on our certainty in the durability of our work from actual results over decades. We pass our certainty on to you. Our commitment says what we are really all about.
I look forward to the opportunity of working with you and for you. Call me personally for a
no obligation estimate or just for some consultation on what can be done with your cabinets.
Sincerely,

2) FINISHING PROCESS
We remove the cabinet doors and drawers and take them to our shop to do the work on them first. Then we do the cabinet boxes ( part mounted on the walls) in the home.
You will have use of your kitchen and cabinets while we complete the doors and drawers for a few days. When we return to your home with the doors and drawers finished, we complete the finishing of the cabinet boxes in-place. more cabinet refinishing details
HERE IS A BRIEF SUMMARY OF OUR WORK AT THE HOME:
We start, by covering the kitchen area entrance-ways with a plastic-film; or else the cabinets are partitioned-off with a plastic-film "wall".
This sealed-off area, is then fully vented by a duct through a window. The special finishes we apply quick-dry in minutes, so that the smell is negligible and expelled. You have no residues left through your home. Notably, we have done refinish work in homes all the year around in any environment, for many years, always with first-rate results.
After setting-up the venting as described, we mask (taping-around) to cover the walls adjacent the cabinets. Then we cover the floor, the countertop and the appliances (taped around).
Following this covering comes the refinish work, performed according to your order details.
We begin by using a combination of products to remove soiling, contaminants and the old finish if specified. We continue with extensive preparations of the cabinet surfaces to assure good adhesion. We then apply any color, or stain-change, and make other corrections as needed according to the order.
The final steps include the spray application of several coats of a durable clear sealer and finish, designed to resist water, steam, detergents, food stains and wear and make an easy-care,
wipe-off surface. If you order solid painted we spray-on multiple fine coats of primer and topcoats. We apply the last, clear, sprayed finish-coats in the gloss level you prefer: either satin sheen or more or less gloss. We never brush-on or wipe-on finishes which causes brush-marks and inconsistency. We only spray-apply the finish. This gives your cabinets an even, smooth surface.
All of our work is of signature quality, performed with "extra-care service".
Through our attention to the details, we have acquired the reputation for great work.
Sincerely,
Louis J. Criscella (LOU) finisher, owner
